Mangaluru, Dec 10: The anti-rowdy squad police on Monday arrested two persons in related to chain snatching.

The arrested have been identified as Harish S Nath (45) of Jeppu Bappala and Rajesh (45) of Bajal. The police recovered 126.960 gram gold worth Rs 3.64 lakh, one scooter from the accused.

Accused were snatching the chains of the women on the roads. They have been facing one case each in Urva, Kadri,and Kavoor police stations, two each in Barke and South police stations.

Under the guidance of Mangaluru city police commissioner TR Suresh, DCP Hanumantharaya, Uma Prashanth, ACP Bhaskar Vokkaliga, Anti-rowdy squad police inspector Raveesh S Nayak, DySP Pradeep TR and staff Velestine George D’Souza, Gangadhar N, Santosh Sasihithlu, Kishore Kotian, Pramod Maryhill, Nagaraj Chandaragi, Basavaraj Naik and others were participated in the operation.

Bengaluru: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to undertake a visit to the state on the 28th and 29th of April, announced BJP Election Management Committee State Coordinator and State General Secretary V. Sunil Kumar.

During his visit, the Prime Minister will engage with the public through a series of campaign meetings at various locations. On the 28th, Modi will begin with a public address at 10 am in Belagavi, followed by rallies at 12 noon in Sirsi, 2 pm in Davangere, and 4 pm in Bellary.

Continuing his engagement, Modi is slated to convene a meeting in Bagalkot on the 29th of April at 11 am.
