Mangaluru, December 5: Materials worth lakhs of rupees gutted in a fire broke out at Central market in the city on Wednesday night.

Fire engulfed two-three shops in the market and gutted everything. As the smoke emanated from the fire, fire brigade vehicles from Pandeshwara and Kadri stations rushed to the spot and are trying to douse the fire. Hundreds of people thronged the spot to see the fire accident. Fire extinguishing work is going on under the leadership of Pandeshwara RFO Thippeswamy.

Bangaluru: The Bidadi police are likely to present Kampli MLA JN Ganesh Singh before the court today.

The police have brought Ganesh to Bengaluru, who was arrested in Gujarat for assaulting MLA Anand Singh at the Eagleton Resort last month.

The Bidadi police will present him before CJM Court in Ramangar after taking his statement. According to sources, Ganesh's lawyers would submit the bail petition on Friday.
