Chikkamagaluru: Four people of a family died after drowning while they were swimming at Tunga River in Shringeri Taluk's Vidyarannya village. Of the deceased, one person's dead body has been traced, while the search operation for others is on.

While the body of Balehaklu Village's resident Ratnakar was found, search is on for Nagendra, Pradeep and Ramanna.

Police, firefighters are jointly invilved in the search operation while also getting assistance from local swimming experts.

The incident took place in Shringeri police station limit.
