Bengaluru, April 24 : Prominent social activist, speaker Mahendra Kumar passed away due to cardiac arrest at his Bengaluru residence on Saturday early morning. He was 47 years old.

Mahendra Kumar was from Koppa in Chikmagalur District. He was earlier the state convenor of Bajrang Dal. He left Bajrang Dal after infamous church attack in Mangaluru in which he was arrested.

Later he became a fierce critic of Sangh Parivar and worked as a social activist against Sangh Parivar.

His talks and analysis in YouTube channel Namma Dhwani were quite popular. He was also a popular public speaker.

Mumbai (PTI): An 8-foot-long python was rescued from Mumbai’s Bandra (East), a police official has said.

The reptile was spotted in the Kalanagar area near a highway on Wednesday night.

After being alerted, police roped in rescuers Kaushik Kini and Rishit Sawant. The two rescued the snake, an official said.

A few days ago, a nine-foot-long python was rescued from a duct in the neighbouring Dharavi area.
