Twitter users on Monday afternoon flooded the micro-blogging site with tweets demanding what they called “Justice for Sushant” calling for an FIR to be filed under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code for murder. The actor was found hanging at his Bandra residence on June 14.

The hashtag #FirForSushantUnder302 was among the top three trending hashtags on twitter India at 5:30 pm with nearly 70K tweets.

The actor’s death has since then caused outrage against the working of the Bollywood and Indian film industry and a large number of social media users have raised their voices against nepotism while alleging that it was the reason behind Sushant’s death. The outrage has seemingly clouded the careers of several star kids as several hashtags have trended on twitter India ever since Sushant’s death calling out to boycott their movies and to highlight the work of self-made actors.

On Monday, users tagged the official twitter handle of Maharashtra Governor seeking his intervention into the matter of filing an FIR under section 302 in the case. They also called on fellow users to boycott movies of several individual actors and producers including Karan Johar and Salman Khan, as they went on to label Khans, Bhatts, Kapoors, and Johar for the actor’s death.

The users have over the past few days been demanding CBI Enquiry into the case as well, but the government or authorities have so far have not paid heed to the demand across social media platforms.

Here are some of the tweets posted by users with the hashtag demanding filing of FIR under section 302 of IPC.

Kolkata, Apr 26: Authorities at the Kolkata airport on Friday received an email claiming bombs were planted at various places on its premises, triggering a frantic search across the facility, officials said.

However, the mail, which threatened that the bombs will explode at 12.55 pm, turned out to be a hoax, they said.

Security agencies at the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport (NSCBIA) conducted a thorough search operation following the email, said Aishwariya Sagar, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Airport Division of Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate.

“After carrying out an extensive search operation, the security personnel concluded that the threat was a hoax,” she said.

Airport authorities, the CISF and the Bidhannagar Police are jointly carrying out an investigation to determine the origin and sender of the email, the officials said.

“We are in the process of tracking the origin of the email,” Sagar said.
