This show showcases the excellence of defence jets of the country at the international arena. This is not mere entertainment. This is an effort to create confidence in the minds of people about the country's defence prowess. The aero show had given enough fodder with its controversy at the very beginning this year to the media. North Indian politicians had dropped hinsberg ke wanted to shift this show from Bangalore to Gujarat or some other location. They had given many leave reasons to defend their decision.

When push came to shove, the state leaders woke up from this number and insured the show was held in Bangalore itself.

Giving into the massive protest state by State the central government was forced to issue a statement that the Aero show would be held in its original location. But this year's aeroshow ran into many troubles at the beginning itself. Many technical glitches were noticed in the jets selected for the show.

During training two fighter jets collided into each other and a pilot died. Now and equally difficult tragedy has struck with 300 cars being reduced to cinders at the parking lot of the Aero show.

The venue of this aero show is a very sensitive zone this fire may have caused greater damage if left unchecked. Fortunately, no such untoward incidents happened.

Yet this incident is a black spot on the security arrangements made by the defence ministry.

Regarding the mishap, state BJP leaders are blaming the state government and state government is blaming the central government over the tragedy. Aero show is a part of the defence ministry events so most of the security arrangements are overlooked by the defence ministry itself.

It is said that the parking arrangements at the Aero show was outsourced to a private company by the defence ministry itself. Yet state government cannot be observed of its responsibility in the matter. State and centre have equal responsibility in the tragedy that ensued.

one cannot imagine the magnitude of damage and loss if the fire had spread to the place of Aero show.

That such a big lapse has happened at the event that used to showcase the finest of defence machines that the country possesses has defeated the very objective of the show.

The reason for this tragedy is not known yet. Investigations are on to find the source of fire. Why was the fire left unchecked? Why did the security personnel not notice it till 300 cards were burnt to nothing? Where were the fire tenders? These questions are yet to be answered. This cannot be shut off as mere accident.

Because this has cost the defence ministry its very image. Are there miscreants behind this? What was their objective? Only burning down cars or something more than that? A serious investigation needs to be done into the case.

At the same time, the investigators also need to understand the role of those who were managing car parking arrangements. Some people are saying this was a planned mishap since the conspiracy to shift Airshow from Bangalore to another place has been on since long. This interpretation is making rounds in social media.

They are saying creating such tragedies would naturally bring up an argument that airshow in Bangalore is not a great idea owing to security lapse and hence could be shifted to some place in north India. This is the whole crux of the conspiracy, as per some people who are discussing such things in social media that this whole mishap is stage managed. This need not be true.

But at a time when the biggest defence show is on, such a tragedy happening would naturally create embarrassment to the coalition government. Many are discussing even the political bigwigs are part of this happening. It cannot be completely ruled out.

Only when a serious investigation is carried out, facts would come to light. Another aspect we need to bear in mind is the contribution of HAL to the defence sector is massive. A possibility of reducing this to nothing and bringing another private player in its place is a plan that is being hatched since long.

The government owes a lot of money to HAL in terms of releasing budgets, and huge arrears in terms of payments for combat aircrafts that were bought. There is lack of money to pay the staff members and even plans are on to reduce the number of staff in the company. All these are recent developments. Union ministers are speaking as their mind pleases about HAL and causing it great damage.

In addition to that, HAL is being subjected to many accidents. Is this all a part of the plan to shut down HAL? People are wondering. The government has not been able to explain why such a prestigious deal such as Rafael was given to the most inexperienced Anil Ambani’s company.

It is necessary to discredit HAL in order to ensure Reliance company gets its deal through. Hence the mishaps that occurred now demand a thorough investigation to get to the truth. But one is not sure whether the central government will even take up such a thorough enquiry into the matter at all.
