Dubai, Jan 12: Abdul Sami of Moodabidri in Dakshina Kannada District who is now an NRI in UAE has won first place in two races of third round in Bahrain Super Sport Championship held at Bahrain International Circuit, Bahrain on 11th December.
Sami secured first place in both the races of third round. With this feat, he has dominated the Championship so far with first places in six consecutive races. He is the son of Nasir Syed from Moodabidri, who is a well known entrepreneur and also a popular international superbike rider settled in UAE.
Sami (18 years) who is also the youngest racer in this championship, is studying first year finance management at American university of sharjah. He was riding aprilia 125cc bike in this Championship.

Bengaluru: In view of the closure of the financial year 2024-25, Commercial tax offices in the state will remain open on March 30, Sunday and March 31 Monday.
The Department of Commercial Taxes, Government of Karnataka issued a press note in this regard on Friday March 28.
This is being done in order to facilitate last-minute tax-related activities and also to ensure a smooth financial year-end process for taxpayers.
