‘World Tulu convention Dubai’ at UAE on Nov. 23 and 24
Dubai, July 30: The ‘World Tulu Convention Dubai’ of the United Arab Emirates would be held for two days at Al Nasr Leisureland Ice Rink Indoor Stadium at Dubai on November 23 and 24.
The general body meeting of the World Tulu Sammelan Advisory Committee was held at Marco Polo Hotel auditorium at Dubai on July 27. The meeting was chaired by Sarvottama Shetty of Tuluva community and Advisory Committee member Shodhan Prasad welcomed.
Chief organizer Sarvottama Shetty explained the details, preparations for the sammelan and appealed all the members to cooperate and work for the success of the convention. Advisory Committee members BK Ganesh Rai, Shodhan Prasad, Dev Kumar Kambli, Azmal, Sathish Poojary, Yogesh Prabhu, Novel D’Almeda, Jyothika Harsha Shetty, Smitha Prasanna and Bearys Welfare Forum president Muhammad Ali Uchhil, Lathief Mulki, representatives and heads of various organizations were present.
Sudhir Kumar Shetty released the logo of World Tulu Sammelan-Dubai on the occasion.

Sunetra Pawar to take oath as Maharashtra's Deputy CM at 5 pm on Saturday
Mumbai (PTI): NCP's Rajya Sabha member Sunetra Pawar will be sworn-in as the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, replacing her deceased husband and party chief Ajit Pawar, at the Lok Bhavan here at 5 pm on Saturday.
Lok Bhavan (formerly Raj Bhavan) gave this information.
Governor Acharya Devvrat, who is currently in Mussoorie, will arrive in Mumbai at 4 pm, it said.
NCP's legislature party meeting is scheduled to take place in the city at 2 pm, where Sunetra Pawar is set to be named as its leader. After that she will take oath as the first woman deputy CM of the state.
She held talks with party leaders after arriving here from Baramati early morning on Saturday.
Ajit Pawar, who was deputy chief minister and finance minister in the Devendra Fadnavis-led Mahayuti government, was killed in a plane crash in Baramati along with four others on January 28.
