Writer and activist Arundhati Roy has been awarded the PEN Pinter Prize 2024, an annual award established by English PEN in memory of playwright Harold Pinter. Shortly after being named for the prize, Roy announced her intention to donate her share of the prize money to the Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund.
