Awards and recognitions
Dr. T.S. Vivekananda, a Bangalore based environmentalist, used to write a column titled Bhoomigeete exclusively for Vartha Bharati. These articles were later published in book form under the same title and won Karnataka Literature Academy Award for the year 2005.
Vartha Bharati also won the world-renowned Transparency International Award for the year2009.
