Karnataka mandates red-yellow lanyard ID cards for state govt. employees

Bengaluru: On completing 50 years of naming the state from Mysuru to Karnataka, the state government on Friday announced the launching of a campaign titled ‘Hesaraiytu Karnataka, Usiragali Karnataka’ (Named Karnataka, Breathe Karnataka) to commemorate the historic event. In addition, as a part of the campaign the state has issued a directive mandating all state government officials to wear an identity card having a red-yellow lanyard.

Vinesh Phogat’s coach, Woller Akos, has revealed that he had concerns over her health during the weight-cutting process before the 50kg freestyle final at the Paris Olympics.
