Urwa police arrested a BJP leader who hoisted black flag in front of the zilla panchayat office on Saturday opposing the Tippu Jayanti celebration.

As the district administration conducted the Tipu Jayanti amidst stiff opposition from political parties and various other organisations, the BJP MLAs and workers and Sangh Parivar activists stated protest opposing the celebration. Citing the law and order problem, the police arrested the agitators.
