The much-awaited first look and title of superstar Rajinikanth’s forthcoming film with Karthik Subbaraj is here. Titled ‘Petta’, the film appears to bring back Rajinikanth from the ‘80s. Going by the motion poster, it’s safe to say that ‘Thalaivar’ is back with a bang!

Being made on a massive scale, the project is funded by Sun Pictures and has an ensemble cast that includes Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Trisha Krishnan, Simran, Vijay Sethupathi, Bobby Simha, Munishkanth, Sanath Reddy and Megha Akash. Reportedly, Vijay Sethupathi will be seen as the prime antagonist in the film. Needless to say, ‘Petta’ has huge expectations among fans as it marks Rajinikanth’s first film with Karthik Subbaraj.

Slated to release next year, ‘Petta’ has music by Anirudh Ravichander, who is working with Rajinikanth and Subbaraj for the first time. According to reports, the makers have completed some important portions in Dehradun and Chennai. The team is likely to wrap up the shoot by the end of this year. Meanwhile, Rajinikanth is currently in Lucknow shooting for ‘Petta’. The actor is expected to return to Chennai sometime later this month.

Tehran/Doha: Iran’s President Massoud Pezeshkian has warned that attacks on the country’s energy infrastructure could lead to “uncontrollable consequences” affecting the entire world.

In a post on X, Pezeshkian said he “strongly condemns” the strikes that targeted the South Pars gasfield earlier in the day.

“Such aggressive actions will not achieve anything for the American Zionist enemy and their supporters. Rather, they will complicate the situation and could lead to uncontrollable consequences that will affect the entire world,” he said.

Meanwhile, Qatar’s Ministry of Interior has urged residents to remain indoors due to what it described as an elevated security threat.

Authorities have not provided further details, but the advisory comes amid growing concerns over the safety of energy infrastructure and civilian areas in the region.
