Dubai, Nov 27: The Karnataka Cultural Forum, a socio-cultural organization of expatriates from Karnataka, is all set to organize a mass marriage back home in their neighbourhoods and launch Darul Aman Destitute Housing scheme on December 3.
The event is organized to mark the 5th anniversary of the foundation and 11 couple will get married at the event to be held in Mangaluru.
Sensing the agony and to wipe out the tears of poor families which are unable to find a match for their daughters due to their financial conditions, the foundation has organized the event.
Karnataka Cultural foundation, NRI-based Kannadigas organization has spread across all over GCC countries, Malaysia as well as UK, with more than twelve thousand members. It aims mainly to gather NRI Kannadigas and thereby, support the downtrodden and work for the community development.
As part of making expatriate community health conscious, KCF organizes regular health checkup camps, health awareness seminars and blood donation camps. It also organizes annual talent hunt programmes like “Prathibotsava” to recognize the talents of children and adults. With a view to boost patriotism, KCF has been organizing Independence Day, Republic Day and other national festivals. Moreover, large amount of expatriates gather for its Family Meet & get-together programmes.
It strives hard to make difference in the lives of the people in Karnataka through various humanitarian projects and relief services. It also helps in repatriation of deceased expat body to the home country by clearing documentation procedures, as well as providing Legal Support for needy who are facing sponsor problem, financial or business related issues. KCF Saudi Arabia has been at the forefront to serve the Guest of Allah through KCF Haj volunteer service, known as HVC. Volunteers work round the clock and available for all possible assistance of pilgrims.
KCF will present 40 gram of gold for brides and financial support for all couples at the event. All India Sunni Jamiyyathul Ulama Secretary Sheikh Aboobacker Ahmed will lead the function and notable religious and political personalities of state as well as other prominent people from all walks of life will take part in the event. Launching event of KCF Darul Aman Housing scheme for destitute and needy people will be held on the same day evening at SYS Hubburasool Public Conference at Nehru Maidan in Mangaluru.

Ranchi(PTI): The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has emerged as a surprise element in the Jharkhand assembly elections with its candidates leading in five of the six seats where the party is contesting, according to trends available on the Election Commission's website on Saturday.
RJD candidates in five assembly seats were leading over sitting BJP legislators.
In 2019, RJD had secured only the Chatra seat where its nominee Satyanand Bhokta won.
In Deoghar, RJD’s Suresh Paswan was leading by 19,581 votes over his nearest rival and BJP's sitting MLA Narayan Das after the third round of counting.
RJD’s Sanjay Prasad Yadav was ahead by 19,867 votes in Godda over BJP MLA Amit Kumar Mandal after the sixth round of counting.
In Koderma, RJD nominee Subhash Prasad Yadav, who was out on bail, was leading by a margin of 3,471 votes over BJP’s sitting legislator Neera Yadav.
Subhas Prasad Yadav, considered to be one of the close aides of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad, was recently granted bail by the Supreme Court in a money laundering case.
Party’s Naresh Prasad Singh was leading by 5,159 votes after the fourth round of counting over BJP’s Bishrampur MLA Ramchandra Chandravanshi.
RJD's Sanjay Kumar Singh Yadav was also leading from Hussainabad by 8,213 votes after the fourth round of counting over BJP MLA Kamlesh Kumar Singh.
Party’s candidate Rashmi Prakash, however, was trailing from Chatra by 3,776 votes.
Bhokta did not contest the elections this time, and his daughter-in-law Prakash was given a ticket.
