Dubai: In a remarkable achievement highlighting her exceptional business leadership skills, Emotional Intelligence Trainer Nasreen Binth Ahmed Bava was honoured with the prestigious 'Best Emotional Intelligence Award' for 2024 at the iconic Cosmopolitan Business Awards 2024 event here.
Nasreen was honoured with the award, which proves to be a testimony to Nasreen's contributions to the business world, including setting new standards of excellence, at a ceremony held at the Zabeel Ballroom of Hotel Radisson Blu in Deira, Dubai, on February 17.
Achievers from various fields had also been nominated for the award. Also, the award ceremony was attended by several prominent people of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Nasreen, who has more than 15 years of experience in the fields of Emotional Intelligence Training, education and health, is an inspiring figure as an expert trainer. A post-graduate in Psychology, Counseling and Education, Nasreen is globally recognized for her outstanding contributions in the field and has been honoured with awards from the CPD UK, the SHRM and the HRCI, among other prestigious bodies.
As a leader of information skills in the UAE, Nasreen has displayed a unique blend of innovation, leadership as well as commitment to enhancing the well-being of children, professionals and corporate, through her educational and mental health initiatives.
One of her most notable achievements is developing the 'Emoventor', a semi-automated emotion ventilator tool that is designed specifically for children. The pioneering invention, which represents a significant advancement in child mental health support, has received special recognition from AICRA and also support from the Indian Ministry of Education and Skill Development. Under Nasreen's leadership, 'Info Skills' initiated career awareness campaigns and created a distinctive psychometric assessment.
Apart from the achievements in her chosen field, Nasreen is known for her commitment to ethical practices, with her company implementing several initiatives to promote sustainability and corporate social responsibility. Nasreen's efforts at promoting ethical practices have not only made her a popular figure with both employees and customers but also set a benchmark in the industry.

Melbourne (PTI): Former Australian hockey player Michael Nobbs, who coached the Indian men's team at the 2012 London Olympics, has died after a prolonged illness.
He was 72 years old and is survived by his wife Lee Capes, a former Australian women's international and daughter Kaitlin, who is a current Hockeyroos star.
"Hockey Australia extends its deepest condolences to Michael’s family, friends, former teammates, players and all those whose lives and careers were shaped by his contribution to hockey. He will be remembered as a proud Kookaburra, a respected professional, and a servant of the sport," Hockey Australia said in a statement.
Nobbs represented Australia as a defender, playing across the half-back line and at fullback, and was renowned for his reliability, fitness and professionalism. He earned 76 international caps for Australia between 1979 and 1985, scoring one goal, and was a member of one of the strongest eras in Australian men’s hockey, said Hockey Australia on its website in its tribute.
Nobbs was an integral part of the Australian teams that competed at the 1981 Hockey World Cup in Bombay and the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics.
While part of a generation widely regarded as one of Australia’s finest, he consistently held his place through hard work, discipline and trust earned from teammates and coaches, Hockey Australia wrote.
Nobbs took over the coaching of the Indian men's team in 2011 after it had failed to qualify for the Beijing Games in 2008. While India were brilliant in the qualifiers, the team finished last at the London extravaganza which also expedited the Australian coach's sacking.
Apart from India, Nobbs also coached Japan.
