Dubai: Sending in a big relief to the UAE resident visa holders from six countries, the UAE on Tuesday said it will allow them to enter into the Emirates starting Aug 5.
Travelers from six countries who hold valid UAE residency permits and are fully vaccinated will now be allowed entry into the UAE from August 5, authorities announced on Tuesday.
The rule is applicable to travelers from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Nigeria and Uganda, the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA) said.
The statement from the government further stated that at least 14 days should have passed after receiving the second dose of vaccine before the visa holders travel into the Emirates. The travelers will have to carry their vaccination certificate during the travel.

Latur (PTI): A minor girl was allegedly kidnapped and raped by an 18-year-old man in Latur, leading to the arrest of the main accused and owners of two cafes where the crime occurred on December 4, police said on Saturday.
Police traced the girl within hours of registering the complaint. The accused, identified as Rihan Gulab Shaikh, was arrested based on the girl's complaint. Two others are owners of two cafes where the crime occurred, police said.
Police registered a case under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS), POCSO Act, and the Prevention of Atrocities Act, an official said.
