Srinagar, July 10 : Two soldiers were injured on Tuesday in an ongoing gunfight in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district, police said.
The security forces surrounded Kumdalan village after receiving a tip-off about holed-up militants.
"When challenged, the militants opened fire. The injured soldiers of the 44 Rashtriya Rifles
have been shifted to an Army hospital in Srinagar for treatment," the police said.

New Delhi: The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) has announced its decision to boycott the inauguration of a museum proposed by Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud, scheduled for November 8,2024.
The SCBA has expressed opposition to converting the judges' library space into a museum, advocating instead for the area to be used as a library and lounge for lawyers.
The association also demands that the Bar be consulted in future decisions impacting their facilities and resources.
