Bidar: Miscreants have once again insulted a portrait of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar displayed on a banner in the village of Villaspur, located within the jurisdiction of the Janawada Police Station.

It has been reported that, during the night, the portrait of Dr. Ambedkar on a banner celebrating the Bhima Koregaon Victory was desecrated with black paint. Upon noticing this in the morning, Dalit community members gathered at the location and expressed their outrage, immediately informing the police.

On December 12, a similar incident occurred when a slipper was thrown at the Ambedkar statue in Villaspur. District authorities had visited the scene, and Dalit organisations across the district staged protests in condemnation of the act. Two individuals were arrested in connection with that incident.

The Janawada Police PSI has visited the scene of the current incident.
