3 boys killed as tractor overturns in UP
Pratapgarh (UP), Oct 6 : Three teenage boys were killed when the tractor-trolley on which they were travelling fell in a roadside ditch here, police said on Saturday.
The incident occurred last night near Belkharnath Dham, they said. The boys were rushed to nearby hospital where the doctors declared them dead, police said.
The deceased have been identified as Abhishek Kumar (16), Tej Bahadur (17) and Vijay Kumar (14), they said.

Private bus overturns in Karnataka’s Shikaripur; 17 passengers injured

Shivamogga (PTI): Seventeen passengers were injured after a private bus overturned in Shikaripur town in the district on Monday, police said.
Of the injured, 15 sustained minor injuries, while two others suffered grievous ones, they said.
All the injured were shifted to hospitals and are stated to be out of danger, police added.
According to police, the incident occurred this morning when the bus had just entered Shikaripur town from Shivamogga.
The bus driver, in an attempt to avoid hitting a two-wheeler rider who came in its path, allegedly applied the brakes, following which the bus overturned, resulting in the accident.
The incident was captured on CCTV cameras installed in the vicinity, a senior police officer said.
With the help of locals who rushed to the spot immediately, the injured were taken to hospitals for treatment, police said.
Further investigation is underway.
