New Delhi, June 15: As Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his ministerial colleagues continued to camping in the Raj Niwas, AAP workers continued to support them from on the capital's streets on Friday.

Hundreds of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers gathered at Kejriwal's residence on Friday to continue their protest and send off packets of ration to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in protest against home delivery of ration not being implemented in Delhi.

They were chanting slogans like "Prime Minister, Don't give speeches, Give ration!"

"The Prime Minister is a resident of Delhi and there should be no scarcity of food in his house. Today we are providing rice to him, in future, we will deliver whatever will be required. We are requesting him to don't stop the supply of ration to the people of Delhi," AAP MP Sanjay Singh told media.

Approval to Delhi government's proposal for doorstep delivery of ration to the poor is one of Kejriwal's demands.

New Delhi (PTI): The Supreme Court on Monday sought responses from the Centre and others on a plea to accord weightage to states' proposal on the exact cost of cultivation while fixing minimum support price (MSP).

A bench of Chief Justice Surya Kant and Justice Joymalya Bagchi issued notices to the Centre and others, including the Commission for Agricultural Costs and Prices, seeking their response on the plea.

Advocate Prashant Bhushan, appearing for the petitioners, said the plea raises a very important issue related to the farmers in the country.

The plea has sought direction to the authorities to ensure complete procurement of all notified crops under the MSP calculated on the basis of the exact cost of cultivation.

It has also sought direction to take appropriate steps to ensure complete procurement of crops from all farmers who are desirous of selling their crops at the MSP.
