Patna: An occultist in Begusarai has sent the local administration into a state of bother, after writing an ‘application’ seeking permission for human sacrifice claiming that he has been ordered by goddess to carry out human sacrifice.
Surendra Prasad Singh, who resides under Mofussil Police Station limit has written the letter to the Begusarai Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO).
In a video that has gone viral on local social media platforms, the occultist can be heard saying “Human sacrifice is not a crime, I have been ordered to do it by goddess Kamakhya. I will first sacrifice my son, who is an engineer, but refuses to give financial aid to my temple. I see him as a Ravana”
The screenshots of the letter which has been written on a letterhead of unknown organization “Bindu Maa Manav Kalyan Sanstha” which Singh claims to head in the viral video.
Begusarai SDO, Sajiv Kumar Chaudhry, however, said he had not received any such letter while also adding that the administration has taken the matter seriously and a hunt to trace the letter and Surendra Prasad.
“This is a serious matter, we cannot take it lightly, we are trying to trace Singh, appropriate action will be initiated against him” Chaudhry added.
Residents of the village although said that, Singh is a crazy godman and can stoop any low to get publicity and this can also turn out to be one of his publicity stunts, but subsequently expressed their concern as their children can fall prey to his ill intentions.
“We call him ‘Pagla baba’ because of his alien behavior which also include walking naked on street with human skull in hand. But since he has instable temperament, our children can fall prey to his ill intentions”.

Mumbai (PTI): Ryan Rickelton's whirlwind unbeaten ton was overshadowed by Heinrich Klaasen's unbeaten 65 as Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Mumbai Indians by six wickets in an IPL match here on Wednesday.
Chasing an imposing 244-run target, Travis Head (76 off 30) and Abhishek Sharma (45 off 24) shared 129 runs for the opening wicket to set the platform for SRH.
Klaasen (65 not out off 30 balls) then displayed his all-round hitting abilities to guide SRH home with the help of Nitish Kumar Reddy (21) and Salil Arora (30 not out off 10) in 18.4 overs.
Earlier, Rickelton's knock powered MI to 243 for five.
MI rode on a 93-run stand between Rickelton (123 not out off 55 balls) and Will Jacks (46 off 22) in 7.1 overs for the opening stand to power the side.
MI skipper Hardik Pandya scored a valuable 31 off 15 balls before being dismissed.
Praful Hinge (2/54), Eshan Malinga (1/29), Sakib Hasan (1/39) and Nitish Kumar Reddy (1/31) were the wicket-takers for SRH.
