Kochi, Oct.19: Kiss of Love activist Rashmi Nair has alleged that BJP leader K.Surendran had met Rehana, who tried to enter Sabarimala temple on Friday, several times in Mangaluru. She also said that Rehana's Sabarimala pilgrimage was a part of conspiracy to create communal tension over this issue.

Full detail of facebook post of Rashmi Nayar:

"I had said it on the day when the court verdict (regarding entry to women to Sabarimala temple) was out, that the intention of Sangh parivar is to create communal tension in the name of Sabarimala. When A picture of women showing her half body was published, I had cautioned the society to check the profile of Muslim names that had given contract for this task by Sangh parivar. I had said it then, what Kadakampally Surendran is saying now. Sabarimala is not a place to organise DJ parties for activists. Comrade had said it right today"

"Today I will reveal some of the serious matters that I prefered to hold back then. I know that, Rehana Fathima, a central government employee, had met K.Surendran several times in Mangaluru. She had successfully exhibited the task of consolidating people's support to the right wing party by entering the developed sections of Kerala".

Right from the publishing of the picture and entering Sabarimala everything related to that woman is a part of a conspiracy. One must link this to the news of Muslims stabbing Ayyappa devotees, reported by Janam TV. State government must also need to probe the role of IG Sreejith who's names is in the criminal list of the police department. People should support the Kerala government for waging straightforward war against religious terrorism.

Bengaluru (PTI): Power bills for consumers under the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) will go up from May 1, following an order issued by the Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission (KERC) on Friday.

The hike comes after KERC allowed the BESCOM to recover a revenue deficit of Rs 2,068 crore incurred in 2024-25, from the consumers.

As a result, for every unit of electricity consumed in 2024-25, the customers will be charged an additional 56 paise, it said.

"BESCOM shall calculate, for each of the active consumers of FY2024-25 the amount to be recovered based on their actual energy consumption during FY2024-25. Such amount shall be recovered during FY 2026-27 in equal monthly instalments, to be called as 'FY25 True up Charges', commencing from the first meter reading date falling on or after 1 May 2026 and concluding with the reading date ending on 30 April 2027," the order said.

"It is further ordered that BESCOM shall maintain a separate head of account, allocated for the purpose, to record the adjustment of the said amount to ensure full recovery of the deficit," it added.

Similarly Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation Limited (CESC) has also recorded a revenue deficit of Rs 121.71 crore and can collect an additional 15 paisa per unit for consumption in 2024-25, official sources said.
