Patna: Jharkhand Police on Saturday confirmed that it had arrested three people and detained another six in connection with the CBSE papers leak case. Among those arrested is also an individual, who’s being identified as Satish Pandey.
Pandey, who’s being described as a district coordinator of the ABVP in Jharkhand’s Chatra, is also believed to have been running a coaching centre, Study Vision. Taking a dig at the fresh revelation, the Congress attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi by asking ‘his own people are responsible for destroying the future of young students.’ It added, “If you look at the BJP’s history, this appears to be true.”
Pandey, according to police, had sent the 28 March paper to students on 27 March via WhatsApp.
Meanwhile, ABVP’s national general secretary, Ashish Chauhan, rubbished media reports that Pandey was associated with the student body affiliated with the RSS. Chauhan tweeted, “Puddling lies has been a congress trait, said accused is NOT an ABVP office-bearer; as per reports he owns a business and is not a student any more. We stand for thorough enquiry into CBSE Leak issue.”
