St Lucia: Australia is set to face India in their final match of the Super 8 stage of the T20 World Cup in St Lucia on Monday night, with star bowler Pat Cummins eyeing a unique hat-trick of hat-tricks. Cummins is heading into the match with a record of two consecutive hat-tricks in the T20 World Cup.

If Cummins achieves a hat-trick in Monday's match against India, he will become the first bowler to take a hat-trick of hat-tricks in international cricket. He is currently the only bowler to have taken two hat-tricks in the T20 World Cup, a feat made even more special by achieving them in two consecutive matches.

Cummins played a crucial role in Australia's recent victories, leading the team to win the World Test Championship and ODI World Cup last year, both against India. However, Australia suffered their first defeat against Afghanistan in the Super 8 match, despite Cummins taking a hat-trick in that match.

In the match against Afghanistan, Cummins took the wicket of Rashid Khan in the last ball of the third over, followed by the wickets of Karim Janat and Gulbadin Naib in the first two balls of the next over.

Earlier, in the first Super 8 match against Bangladesh, Cummins dismissed Mohammadullah in the last ball of the 18th over, followed by the wickets of Mehdi Hasan and Tauheed Hridai in the first two balls of the 20th over, securing a hat-trick and becoming the second Australian bowler to achieve this feat in the T20 World Cup after Brett Lee in 2007.
