New Delhi: A Delhi groom abruptly called off his wedding ceremony after reportedly being overcome by memories of a past relationship after the DJ played the Bollywood song Channa Mereya during the celebrations.

The widely circulated post shared by Gaurav Kumar Goyal (@sarcasmicguy) shows that the moment the song began to play, the groom became visibly emotional. Struck by nostalgia and lost in thoughts of a former partner, he reportedly made the spontaneous decision to call off the wedding. The baraat, having already arrived at the venue, returned without the bride.

Though the video went viral on social meadia, with lakhs of viewers watching the it and responding with a range of emotions, details such as date and exact venue are not yet verified. Many users responded with some humourous comments while some complimented the DJ for having inadvertently helping the groom introspect.

While others jokingly noted that he may have taken the song a little too literally.
One user wrote, “At least he realised it before ruining two lives,” while another quipped, “Who needs Ranbir Kapoor when you’ve got real-life drama?”

Srinagar (PTI): Property worth Rs 1 crore belonging to a notorious drug peddler was on Saturday attached in Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar, police said.

A double-storey house on eight marlas of land situated at Wantpora Eidgah, belonging to Basit Bilal Dar, a notorious drug peddler, valued at approximately Rs 1 crore, a police spokesperson said.

He said Dar is involved in two cases registered under various sections of the NDPS Act.

During investigation, it was established that the accused had acquired the said property through illicit proceeds generated from drug trafficking activities, the spokesperson said.

Consequently, the property was attached under the provisions of the NDPS Act. The attachment proceedings were conducted in the presence of the two independent witnesses, strictly in accordance with the prescribed legal procedures, he said.

As per the attachment order, the owner has been restrained from selling, leasing, transferring, altering, or creating any third-party interest in the property till further orders, the spokesperson added.
