Five soldiers injured in J&K accident
Srinagar, April 23 : Five soldiers were injured on Monday in an accident on the Srinagar-Jammu highway, police said.
"The army vehicle skidded off the road after the driver lost control. The injured have been shifted to hospital for treatment," a police official said.

Andhra Pradesh Congress chief Y.S. Sharmila alleges she was placed under house arrest in Vijayawada
Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Congress chief Y.S. Sharmila on Wednesday alleged that she was placed under house arrest in Vijayawada.
Taking to social media platform X, she asked why she was being restricted from going to her workplace — the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) office.
“Why am I house arrested in my villa in Vijayawada? For what reason? Please tell the people of AP,” she wrote, tagging Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and the Andhra Pradesh police.
Expressing outrage, the Congress leader questioned whether going to her workplace had become a “crime” in the state. “Why are you trying to curtail our constitutional rights? What is your government afraid of?” she asked.
Following her release from house arrest, Sharmila met with supporters who had gathered outside her residence.
