Chandigarh: Haryana Jan Sevak Party candidate Balraj Kundu, contesting from the Meham assembly constituency, has alleged that former Congress MLA Anand Singh Dangi assaulted him and his personal assistant at a polling booth in Rohtak district on Saturday.

In a video shared by PTI, Kundu claimed that Dangi tore his clothes and physically attacked him. "My PA was beaten up," Kundu stated, while showing the PA’s bruised face and ripped vest. He explained that the incident occurred while he was visiting polling booth number 134 in the constituency.

Kundu suggested that the alleged incident stemmed from Dangi's dissatisfaction with the election chances of his son, Balram Dangi, who is contesting as a Congress candidate for the Meham seat.

Kundu further requested voters to stay calm and maintain peace during the electoral process.

With over two crore people eligible to vote, polling began on Saturday morning for all 90 assembly seats in Haryana. The results are set to be announced on October 8.
