New Delhi: Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has formed a 12-member committee to change the mode of conduct of its entrance examination to "completely online", a varsity note has revealed.
The committee, constituted by the Vice Chancellor, is required to submit its recommendations as early as possible.
"The committee shall examine various dimensions for making entrance examination 2019-20 completely online and submit the recommendation to the competent authority at the earliest," the note of Joint Registrar to the university officials, issued on March 6, read.
An entrance test is required to get admission in JNU for several undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including Ph.D. and M.Phil.
At present, the entrance examinations are conducted physically across centres, with some of them -those conducted for M.Phil and Ph.D and language courses- requiring a viva voce.
