Ranchi, July 3: In a bizarre incident, a mentally challenged person on Tuesday beheaded a woman teacher in Jharkhand's Seraikela district and roamed the streets while holding her head, police said.
A police officer said that Hari Hembrom, 45, used to stare at Sukuru Heresa, 35, whenever she reported for duty at the government-run primary school at Khapsarai village.
On Tuesday, Hari called her out. As she came out of the school premises, he attacked her with a sharp-edged weapon. After beheading her, he carried her head around before the police was informed.
The reason for the murder is yet to be known.
