Kolkata: A group of miscreants forced an elderly couple to chant Jai Shri Ram at Andal in Budrwan district of Wes Bengal. A video of the victim blind couple Abdul Basheer (67) and 61-year-old Bedan Bibi has gone viral on social media.
The couple in the video is seen desperately pleading that they are blind and could not walk properly, but their pleas had little impact on the goons, who made fun of their disability. A miscreants is heard saying disparagingly, “So what you can’t see. You don’t have to use your eyes to chant Jai Shri Ram. Use your mouth.”
The elderly Muslim man then says there was no difference between Hindus and Muslims adding that ‘Bhagwan and Allah were the same.’ But the Hindutva goons threaten to beat them up if they refused to chant Jai Shri Ram and Jai Maa Tara.
