Mumbai: A 24-year-old model was killed after an iron pillar fell on her while she was on the ramp during a fashion show in Noida on Sunday afternoon.

The woman has been identified as Vanshika Chopra. The accident took place at Film City's Laxmi Studio.

The iron pillar was erected for lighting purposes but it fell on stage and killed the model instantly, the police said. They added that another person, identified as Bobby Raj, is severely injured and is being treated at a local hospital.

The police questioned the organisers of the fashion show along with the person who installed the lighting truss. They also said that no permission was given for the fashion show.

Meanwhile, police stated that a case has been registered and the organiser and four people involved in lighting set up have been arrested. The body of the deceased has been sent for post mortem.

New Delhi (PTI): The CBI has arrested Shivraj Raghunath Motegaonkar who runs the Renukai Chemistry Classes (RCC) in Maharashtra's Latur city in the NEET UG paper leak case, officials said on Monday.

A leaked question paper for the medical entrance exam was found on Motengaonkar' phone mobile during searches conducted by the agency on Sunday. He was arrested after that.

The CBI has alleged that Motegaonkar was an active member of the organised gang involved in the leakage and circulation of the NEET UG paper, the officials said.

Motegaonkar in conspiracy with other accused received the question paper and answers of NEET UG Exam, 2026 ahead of April 23, 2026 exam, they said. He allegedly circulated the paper to several persons.
