Hyderabad: All India Majlis-e-Ittihadul Muslimeen President and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi on Monday, lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent remarks assuring ‘Suraksha ki Gurantee’ to Muslim women during a recent election rally.

Owaisi also shared a three minute video of his party where stories of several women including the above mentioned three and Fatima Nafis (Mother of Najeeb, a JNU student who disappeared from JNU hostel in October 2016 following scuffle with ABVP members in the campus) have been elaborated. The video also expresses concerns over 47 of the MPs who have been given tickets by BJP has records of crime against women.

“We all know what BJP leaders Kuldeep Singh (Accused in Unnao Rape case) and MJ Akbar (Union Minister who resigned after allegations of sexual harassment in the wake of #MeToo movement) have done. Yet the prime minister assures of ‘Suraksha ki Gurantee’” the video adds.

The video while citing Thomas Reuters Foundation report that calls India as the most dangerous country for women, question ‘Kise chahiye aisi Suraksha ki gurantee’ (Who wants safety assurance from the prime minister of such a party?).

Police said the body bore injury marks on the face, indicating foul play.
