Mudslide kills 5 of family in J&K
Jammu, Sep 24: Five members of a family were killed on Monday in a mudslide in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda district, police said.
The mudslide hit the house of Noor Muhammad in Galli Bhatoli village.
"A rescue operation was launched with the help of the Army. So far, five bodies including that of a minor have been recovered. Some sheep and cattle were also buried," a police officer said.
Heavy rains have lashed the Jammu region during the last two days.
The situation is expected to improve from Monday, according to weather authorities.

US–Iran first round direct talks conclude in Islamabad: Report

The first round of direct talks between the United States and Iran, held in Islamabad, has concluded, Al Jazeera reported citing sources close to the development.
According to the report, following the discussions, delegations from both sides agreed to exchange written documents, a move aimed at ensuring clarity and consensus on the understandings reached during the meeting.
Both the Iranian and US delegations arrived in Islamabad on Saturday, April 11, amid high security for the peace talks.
