Mumbai Cop seeks permission to beg in uniform over no salary
Maharashtra, May 11: In his letter to Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis and Mumbai police, Constable Dnyaneshwar Ahirrao sought permission to “beg in uniform” as he hasn’t received salary for two months. Ahirrao posted with security team at Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackerayay’s residence, took an “emergency leave” for five days after his wife suffered a fracture. He stopped receiving salary after the incident.

Six workers killed in explosion at TN fireworks unit
Virudhunagar (Tamil Nadu) (PTI): Six workers were killed following an explosion at a firecrackers manufacturing unit near here on Saturday, an official said.
The blast is suspected to have taken place during the process of mixing chemicals and it flattened at least one room and led to the deaths.
