Uttar Pradesh: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has stated that people of all religions are secure in the state, emphasizing that the safety of Muslims is linked to the well-being of Hindus. In an interview with ANI, he said, “A Muslim family is the safest among 100 Hindu families. They will have the freedom to practise all religious customs. But can 50 Hindus be safe among 100 Muslim families? No. Bangladesh is an example. Before this, Pakistan was an example. What happened in Afghanistan? If there is smoke or someone is being hit, we should be careful before we get hit. That is what needs to be taken care of.”

He said that since the BJP government took office in 2017, communal riots in Uttar Pradesh have ceased. He argued that prior to 2017, incidents of violence affected both Hindus and Muslims, but with stricter law enforcement, such disturbances have been prevented.
Adityanath described himself as a “Yogi who wishes for everyone's happiness” and reiterated his belief in inclusive development. He also spoke about Sanatan Dharma, stating that it is the most ancient religion and has never sought to convert others by force.

On political matters, he criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, referring to him as a “specimen” whose actions ultimately benefit the BJP. He also accused the Congress of prolonging the Ayodhya dispute and not taking initiatives like banning triple talaq or promoting Hindu religious events.
Regarding disputes over religious sites, Adityanath asserted that historical evidence supports claims of temple destruction and that efforts to restore temples will continue based on findings. On the Mathura mosque case, he stated, “We are abiding by the court's decision; otherwise, who knows what could have happened by now?”

Bengaluru (PTI): An unmanned aerial vehicle was allegedly spotted flying over the ISRO's ISITE campus here, a designated "No Drone Zone", following which a probe has been launched, police said on Tuesday.

The incident occurred at around 8.16 AM on May 2, they said.

A probe was launched following a complaint by a sub-inspector from the CISF who spotted the unidentified drone flying at a height of approximately 80 to 100 feet over the ISITE (Satellite Integration and Test Establishment) campus for about 10 to 12 seconds, police said.

According to the FIR, the ISRO ISITE campus is a highly sensitive and restricted area, designated as a "No Drone Zone." Any unauthorised aerial activity in such a sensitive zone poses a serious threat to security.

Despite being aware that this is a prohibited "No Drone Zone," some unknown individuals have carried out illegal drone activity in the restricted area, the complaint alleged.

Police said a case has been registered against unknown persons at HAL police station under Section 329(3) (criminal trespass) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, along with relevant provisions of the Aircraft Act, for operating a drone in a prohibited area without permission.

Further investigation is underway, they added.
