Jaipur, Jan 21 (PTI): A government school principal and a teacher posted in Rajasthan's Chittorgarh were on Tuesday dismissed from service after purported "objectionable" videos of them surfaced on social media.

A police team on Monday visited the school in Gangrar area to investigate the matter after the two teachers were suspended on Saturday following the incident.

Following the investigation, the District Education Officer issued orders of the dismissal of the principal and the teacher.

In the preliminary investigation report and in-depth study and analysis of the records in the case, the accused found to be involved in sexual misconduct in the school, according to the order issued.

The image of good governance of the education department and the Rajasthan government has been tarnished by this case, it said, adding that both the teachers are "dismissed from the state service" under the provisions of Rule 19 (2) of the Rajasthan Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules 1958, the order said.

Chittorgarh District Education Officer (Elementary) Rajendra Sharma said he received an e-mail containing the videos showing the teachers inside the principal's room.

A committee headed by the joint director of the education department conducted an inquiry at the school on Monday today, he added.

The videos were reported recorded by a hidden camera placed near the roof of the headmaster's room, Sharma said.

"It is not clear who placed the hidden camera there," he said, adding that the school has a total of nine, including seven female teaches.

New Delhi (PTI): Actor Nora Fatehi on Thursday appeared before the National Commission for Women in connection with a controversy surrounding the song 'Sarke Chunar' and apologised, saying there was "no intention to offend anybody."

Speaking to reporters after the hearing, Fatehi said she had been put in a situation unintentionally but acknowledged her responsibility as an artist.

"It was just a situation that I was put in, and there was no intention to offend anybody. But of course, I have to be responsible as an artiste. I definitely apologise, we have done everything in writing. They have been so kind and helpful," she said.

The actor also said she has decided to sponsor the education of a few orphan girls.

"It's really important for us to give back to society. So, I decided that we should sponsor a few orphan girls, their education, so that is the goal after this matter," she said.

Earlier, Fatehi distanced herself from the Hindi version of the song, saying she had shot the Kannada version and that her permission was not taken for its use in Hindi.

The Hindi version of the song, released on March 15 on YouTube, triggered outrage among a section of the public over its allegedly explicit lyrics.

Following the backlash, the makers removed the Hindi version from YouTube, though it continued to circulate across platforms. The lyricist, singer and director have also issued apologies.

'KD The Devil' is a Kannada film, dubbed in four languages, including Hindi.
