Bikaner, Apr 3: A live mortar shell was found near the Nal Air Force Station on the Bikaner-Jaisalmer Highway in the district on Wednesday, police said.

The shell was found in a box with 81 MM mortar and explosive written on it.

The area was cordoned off and a team of experts from the Army examined the box and found it was not a live mortar, police said.

New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party is leading in five out of the seven seats where counting of votes for the by-elections is currently underway, according to early trends.

In Maharashtra’s Baramati, Sunetra Pawar of the Nationalist Congress Party is in the lead.

In Karnataka’s Bagalkot constituency, Congress candidate Umesh Meti is ahead.

The counting process is ongoing, and final results are yet to be declared.
