Mumbai (PTI): Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar on Wednesday announced that Marathi film "Baipan Bhari Deva" will arrive in theatres on June 30.
On the occasion of International Women's Day, Tendulkar took to his social media accounts and shared the poster of the Jio Studios' upcoming film that celebrates womanhood.
Billed as an entertaining family drama which teaches some important life lessons in a light vein, "Baipan Bhari Deva" features Rohini Hattangadi, Vandana Gupte, Sukanya Mane, Shilpa Navalkar, Suchitra Bandekar and Deepa Parab. It is directed by Kedar Shinde.
Tendulkar said the film celebrates and honours different facets of women.
"We should always honour women who are constantly winning by celebrating femininity as a mother, sister, wife and daughter. I have experienced their Wonder' in my life. Now, you can experience it too by watching the movie Baipan Bhari Deva' on 30th June," the cricketer wrote on Twitter.
"Baipan Bhari Deva" follows the story of six sisters and their different ambitions as they navigate their complex relationships addressing various aspects of womanhood, be it traditional notions or breaking stereotypes.
The film is presented by Jio Studios, produced by Jyoti Deshpande and Madhuri Bhosle, and co-produced by Bela Shinde and Ajit Bhure.

Vijayapura (PTI): Five people were arrested on Tuesday in connection with a double murder case, including the alleged mastermind Akshay Juljule, who was shot in the leg while allegedly trying to escape from police custody.
Speaking to reporters, Superintendent of Police Laxman Nimbargi said, “When the police went to arrest, Juljule tried to flee the spot in a bike. The police first fired in the air, and when the accused attempted to flee, he was shot in the leg.”
Juljule, against whom three cases have been registered, has been taken to the hospital for treatment.
Two policemen were also injured during the operation and admitted to the hospital.
The double murder occurred on Sunday in Kannur village of Vijayapura taluk. The victims were identified as Sagar Belundagi (25) and Isahak Khureshi (24). They were allegedly stoned to death by a group of assailants.
According to police, the killings were an act of revenge.
SP Nimbargi said, “The accused murdered Sagar and Isahak due to this old enmity.”
Those arrested have been identified as Muthana Gowda, Santosh, Sanjay, Bharat, and Akshay. A case of murder has been registered at the Vijayapura Rural Police Station.
Further investigation is underway.
