Story of National Bravery Award recipient Ejaz Nadaf included in Maharashtra school Textbook
Pardi: In a noteworthy addition to the Bal Bharti textbook used in Taluka Ardhapur, the story of Ejaz Nadaf, a courageous young individual who received the prestigious "National Bravery Award," is now being featured. Ejaz's remarkable act of bravery at the age of 16 has gained recognition and praise in this educational material.
The inclusion of Ejaz's story discusses the details surrounding the award presentation, the district of his origin, and his village of residence among others.
On April 30, 2017, Ejaz demonstrated extraordinary bravery by rescuing two girls from drowning in a river. This act of heroism led to him being honored with the esteemed "National Child Bravery" award on January 26, 2018, by Prime Minister and President Ramnath Kovind. Notably, Ejaz Nadaf was the sole student from Maharashtra to receive this prestigious award in 2018.
Ejaz pursued his education in his village, where he showcased immense courage during his 10th-grade studies at Rajabai High School.
With the aim of providing him a better educational opportunity and future prospects, Ejaz was adopted by the Shaheen Institute in Bidar, Karnataka.
Despite facing financial hardships, Ejaz managed to pass his 12th-grade exams after working as a laborer in his village following his 10th grade. However, he had little hope of continuing his education. Fortunately, the Shaheen Institute in Bidar, Karnataka, stepped forward to support Ejaz's academic journey and success. Presently, he is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree while preparing for the UPSC exams at the Shaheen Institution.
Expressing his happiness and pride, Ejaz's father, Abdul Rauf Nadaf, emphasized the significance of his child's story being taught as a lesson in bravery. He believes that Ejaz's inspiring journey will serve as a positive example for other students and encourage them to exhibit courage in their lives.

POCSO case: Bandi Sanjay asks son to appear before police, urges cooperation
Hyderabad (PTI): A day after the Telangana High Court refused to grant interim relief to Bandi Bageerath, who has been booked under a POCSO case, his father and Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Saturday said he has asked his son to appear before the police and join the probe.
In a statement, Bandi Sanjay said he had asked his son to cooperate with the police soon after the complaint was registered last week.
However, Bageerath, who has been repeatedly maintaining that he has done no wrongdoing, presented evidence in his favour to his lawyers, the union minister said.
According to Bandi Sanjay, the lawyers opined that the case would be quashed and that Bageerath would get bail, which led to the delay.
