New Delhi: In a now-deleted YouTube video, journalist Sushant Sinha’s interview with former Border Security Force (BSF) officer NN Dubey sparked controversy over a misleading thumbnail. The video discussed Ghazi Baba, a blacklisted terrorist affiliated with Jaish-e-Mohammed and Harkat-ul-Ansar, who was killed during a BSF operation in Srinagar in August 2003.

However, the video’s thumbnail mistakenly depicted Punjab Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) and Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Faiyyaz Farooqui between notorious terrorists Masood Azhar and Osama bin Laden. The image even featured a bullet mark on Farooqui’s forehead, falsely implying he had been shot dead.

Although the video was removed before the time of this report’s publication, neither Sushant Sinha nor his team have issued an official acknowledgment or apology for the serious error.
