Mumbai: Local police have recently arrested a Uber Driver over charges of molesting a minor girl after the girl allegedly booked his cab to return home from school.

According to the Dadar Police who arrested the driver after the father of the victim filed a complaint, the accused driver allegedly drove the victim to a desolate location and molested her, instead of dropping her at her house.

The police further added that the victim is a resident of Powai area and had booked the cab on May 14, from her school in Prabhadevi when the incident took place around 4:30 pm. She sat in the vehicle when it arrived, but instead of taking her to Powai, the accused driver allegedly drove her to a desolate area on the side of the Eastern Expressway and molested her there.

After returning home, the child reportedly informed her father about the incident leading to the father approaching the cops. Based on the complaint, the police registered a case under the BNS and POCSO Act and arrested the accused driver. Further investigation into the matter is underway.

Bengaluru: Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister Priyank Kharge has alleged involvement of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in a money transfer network at global level.

Posting his allegation on his personal ‘X’ account on Saturday morning, Kharge said that he was referring to an issue that had not been dealt with decisively by Indian media houses.

“Here is a crucial story that the Indian media will never touch,” the minister has said, and clarified, “This so-called “body of individuals” has built a global network of over 2,500 affiliated organisations. Through these fronts, the RSS collects “guru dakshina” to fuel its divisive agenda. (sic)”

Kharge has further alleged, “The world’s largest NGO is running amok, laundering money and evading accountability.”
