# Religion, intolerance in politics causing instability in country

# ‘More than building Ram Mandir, adopt ideologies of Sri Rama’

Vijayapura, Dec 30: Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev expressed concerns that in recent days, political parties have been creating friction between castes just for power.

In an interaction with media people here on Sunday, Ramdev said that most of the electronic media channels have been telecasting programmes on astrology and Vastu. Unfortunately, people were being cheated in the name of astrology and vastu. Shani, Rahu, Ketu-Tantric or conspiracy were not the essence of Indian religion. The essence of Indian religion was scientific, he said.

India should be built as a spiritual force by 2040 with the help of noble economy, highest spirituality and pious politics. Because of the intolerance in casteism, religion and politics, social, economic and religious instability was created in the country. The integrity and unity of the country was at stake.

Unfortunately, the political parties do not have the interest to build caste-free society. But they were trying to get power through any means. In view of this, Patanjali would support those who work for the country, without backing any political parties for any reasons, Ramdev clarified.

Biggest university in world to be built in India

The Patanjali has decided to build the biggest university in the world in New Delhi to bring back the educational past glory by imparting education on the lines of Nalanda and Takshashila. It was aimed at accommodating one lakh students every year. Well-equipped reading rooms, world class research centre, business studies, law, sports and other subjects would be provided for the students. The university to be constructed at a cost of Rs 20-25 thousand crores would start its function. The country has been facing two kinds of poverty- one rational poverty and another economic poverty. Those two poverties should be eliminated from the country to build the healthy and rich India, he said.

India won’t become Jagadguru by shouting slogans

“India would not become the superpower of the world just by shouting Bharat Mata ki Jai and Vande Mataram slogans. We should work for it.

Unfortunately, caste-free India is not becoming the agenda of the political parties. The political parties have been sowing the seeds of hatred and divide the society in the name of caste and religion. Indigenous products should be our priority, because of the foreign companies have been looting the hard earned money. Patanjali has planned to open a yoga centre in each village in the country”, he said.

Don’t restrict Rama to any particular caste

Lord Rama, Hanumanta, Patanjali Maharshi and others should not restrict to any particular communities or castes. Priority should be given to adopting the ideologies of Rama instead of constructing Mandir to him. People should emulate the ideologies and personality of Rama, he said.

When asked about a research scholar insulting Rama, Baba Ramdev said that “insulting our ancestors is a spiritual and social crime”.

‘Hum to fakir hain- vazeer se judte nahin’

When asked whether Prime Minister Narendra Modi fulfilled his promises and did he work for bringing back black money, Ramdev said that ‘hum to fakir hain- vazeer se judte nahin’ (I am a saint. How could I join with PM), he said.

“Instability prevailed in the country due to politics. Crime in the name of cow slaughter is not acceptable. Gau mata should be protected, but at the same time, humanity should also be prevailed. Such single incidents should not be generalized and termed as intolerance.

Both Hindus and Muslims have built the country. Our blood is same whether Allah says it or Bhagvan says it. Our ancestors were same. Don’t ever make your hearts like stones in the name of mandir and masjid”, he said.

On black money issue, Ramdev said that “black money issue is entrusted to Modi and I have taken the responsibility of cleaning the black minds”.

Nainital (PTI): A 55-year-old advocate allegedly died by suicide after shooting himself inside his car at the Nainital district court parking lot here on Monday, police said.

According to the police, Puran Singh Bhakuni, a resident of Mallital, was found in the rear seat of his vehicle with a gunshot wound to his temple.

Police recovered a licensed pistol from his hand and a suicide note from the car’s dashboard. The note stated that Bhakuni was unwell and suffering from depression.

"We received information through lawyers around noon. The deceased was lying in the back seat with a pistol in his hand and blood near his ear," Circle Officer Anjana Negi said.

Forensic teams and ballistic experts reached the spot to collect evidence, as no witness reported hearing the gunshot.

Government counsel Sushil Sharma stated that Bhakuni left home at 9 am and was found dead at 9.30 am.

Sharma raised concerns over the circumstances, noting that the body was in the rear seat, and demanded a thorough probe to rule out foul play. Bhakuni, who worked as a notary, had married six months ago, he said.

Police took the body into custody and sent it for a postmortem to confirm the cause of death.

The forensic laboratory will examine the suicide note and the ballistics of the weapon, the police said, adding that the investigation is ongoing.
