The Supreme Court on Wednesday expressed anguish and strongly condemned the heinous terrorist attack that targeted tourists at Pahalgam in Jammu & Kashmir on Tuesday.

In the aftermath of the devastating terrorist attack in Pahalgam that claimed the lives of 28 tourists and injured over 20 others, mosques across Jammu and Kashmir have united in condemning the violence. Imams during Friday prayers denounced the killings as "inhuman" and contrary to the teachings of Islam, offering prayers for the victims and urging authorities to ensure justice is served.

One of the survivors of the horrific attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam, a resident of Karnataka, shared that local Muslim men helped her and her child reach a safer location, describing them as her “brothers” for their support and compassion.

Kashmir is observing a shutdown on Wednesday as a mark of grief and protest against the brutal incident in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam where at least 26 people, including tourists, were killed in a terror attack.
