Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday dismissed the corruption allegations levelled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

BJP chief Amit Shah on Saturday took a jibe at Rahul Gandhi accusing him of speaking on the lines of Pakistan and asked the Congress President whether he was trying to forge an international alliance in the name of "Modi Hatao".

Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Saturday accused the BJP and the RSS of undermining the institutions like the Supreme Court, Election Commission and said that it was trying to take over the education system.

The Congress on Saturday refuted the claims of Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad that French firm Dassault Aviation, the manufacturer of Rafale jets, had signed a contract with Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Industries Limited in 2012 to execute the offset contract and described it as "totally false".

Hitting back at Rahul Gandhi for his "thief" jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Saturday said "irresponsible, shameless and baseless" remarks were being made by a family which is out on bail in the National Herald case and is the source of all corruption in the country.

The ruling Congress in Punjab on Saturday won the most seats in the Zila Parishad and Panchayat Samiti elections and headed for a landslide victory as counting was underway. The main opposition AAP in the state assembly faced a humiliating defeat.

Ahead of the Assembly polls in Rajasthan, former Union minister Jaswant Singh's son and BJP MLA Manvendra Singh on Saturday said he has quit the party.
