Jharkhand HC extends Lalu's provisional bail till Aug 20

The Jharkhand High Court on Friday extended the provisional bail of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Chief Lalu Yadav till August 20.

According to a lawyer, the provisional bail period was ending on August 17 but Lalu Yadav's lawyers moved the High Court seeking a further three-month extension. The next hearing will take place on August 17.

Rajasthan to change names of 4 more villages

The Rajasthan government will change the names of four more villages after three Hindu-dominated villages were earlier renamed, officials said on Friday.

Informed sources said the state government has proposed to change the names of 27 villages in the state, however the Centre has permitted the change of only seven names as of now.

Rains intensify, all 5 floodgates of Idukki dam opened
