Ex-Kerala CM VS Achuthanandan passes away; State declares mourning,schools to remain shut on Tuesday

Thiruvananthapuram: V.S. Achuthanandan, senior Communist leader and former Chief Minister of Kerala, passed away at 3:20 PM on Monday, July 21, 2025, in Thiruvananthapuram. He was 101 years old.

 


LIC signs MoU with Rural Development Ministry to promote Bima Sakhi Yojana in rural areas

Goa (Press Release) : The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Department of Rural Development, Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, to promote its flagship initiative Bima Sakhi Yojana across rural regions of the country. The agreement was formalised during the National Conclave on Financial Inclusion, “Anubhuti", held from July 8 to 10 in Goa.
