Mangaluru, Dec.22: 12 persons sustained injuries when a bus collided with a car, tempo and a bike after the driver lost control over the break. The injured have been admitted to a private hospital in the city.
The injured have been identified as Jayanth, Kusappa, Abdul Rahman, Marshal Menezes, Gregory, Abhinav, Mukund Bhat, Maxil, Prajwal Fernandes, Karunakar Shetty and Mahalinga.
On Saturday evening the private bus was moving from Padavinangady to Pachanady when the driver lost control over the vehicle resulting in the series of accidents.
As a result the bus rammed over a car, tempo, a bike and finally came to halt after falling into a small pit.
Most of the injured persons were pushing a tempo that broke down on the road in Pachanady. The bus rammed into the people who were pushing the tempo.
Local resident Balakrishna and others shifted the injured persons to hospital in their vehicles. Later bus passengers were sent in other vehicles.

Kolkata (PTI): A 68-year-old man was arrested from Kolkata on Thursday morning after fake Indian currency notes (FICN) with a face value of Rs 2.99 lakh were seized from his possession, police said.
Acting on a tip-off, the Special Task Force (STF) of Kolkata Police apprehended the person from the Dharmatala bus stand area in the central part of the city, he said.
“Six bundles of FICN of Rs 500 denomination were seized from his possession. The person seems to be a member of a racket involved in fake currency note supply. A case has been filed against him and he will be produced in a local court later today,” he said.
The accused is a resident of Malda district, the officer said, adding that a probe into the matter is underway.
