Mangaluru: The all-new Kia Seltos was unveiled at the A.R.M Kia showroom in Mangaluru, with prices starting at ₹10.99 lakh. The launch marks the arrival of the latest version of the popular SUV in the coastal city.

The unveiling was carried out by chief guest Srinivas S. Kamath, Chartered Accountant and Managing Partner at Kamath and Rau. The event was attended by senior officials of A.R.M Kia, including Managing Director Aroor Ganesh Rao, Sales and Marketing Director Aroor Varun Rao, After Sales and HR Director Aroor Vikram Rao, Senior Vice President Pradeep Pai, AGM (VAS) Kanak Kumar, AGM Sales Harish Rao, GM Sales and HR Shashi Kumar Udupi, and Sales Manager Jayaprakash.

Company representatives said the new Kia Seltos reflects the brand’s focus on updated design, advanced features and improved performance. They added that the model is aimed at customers looking for a combination of style, technology and comfort in the mid-size SUV segment.

The launch event drew the attention of automobile enthusiasts and customers in the region, with A.R.M Kia stating that bookings and enquiries for the new Seltos have already begun at the Mangaluru showroom.

Bengaluru: The Holy month of Ramadan will start from Thursday, February 19, announced convener of the State Moon Sighting Committee Maulana Maqsood Imran Rashadi on Wednesday.

Speaking at a press conference after the Moon Sighting Committee meeting held at the State Waqf Board office on Cunningham Road in the city on Wednesday evening, he said that there is no information about moon sighting anywhere in the capital Bengaluru, including other districts.

“However, after receiving reports of moon sightings in neighbouring states including Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Bihar, Odisha, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Rajasthan and Delhi, it has been decided to start fasting from Thursday,” he said.

The meeting was attended by Maulana Mufti Iftikhar Ahmed Qasmi, Maulana Ejaz Ahmed Nadvi and other members of the ulema.
