Bantwal: Four arrested for entering Karinjeshwara Temple wearing footwear
Bantwal: The Punjalkatte Police reportedly arrested four individuals accused of entering the Karinja Mahathobhara Shri Karinjeshwari Temple while wearing their footwear. The accused were later produced before the court, it is learned.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Ullal Masthikatte resident Basheer Rahmaan (20), Ullal Mukkacheri resident Ismail, Ullal Halekote resident Muhammed Taneesh (19), and Babbukatte Permannur resident Muhammed Rashaad (19).
Reportedly, the arrested individuals not only entered the temple with their footwear on but also shot a video of their visit and enabled its sharing on social media sites.
The Administrative Council of the temple has filed a complaint in this regard at the Punjalkatte police station.
It is learned that two other individuals were present in the video related to this case, and the police have revealed that they have undertaken a search operation to arrest the individuals in question.

Unidentified men set fire to TVK campaign office near Srirangam
Tiruchirapalli (PTI): A campaign office of the actor Vijay-led TVK was allegedly torched by unidentified miscreants in Kamanayakkanpalayam village near Srirangam in the early hours of Friday, police said.
According to the police, the damage is minimal. Fire had engulfed the thatched roof providing shade at the entrance of the building that served as the party’s election office for the Srirangam constituency.
While on social media, a CCTV footage of two unidentified men fleeing on motorbike is being circulated as the culprits, police said the video footage is yet to be verified.
Based on a complaint lodged by TVK, the Pettaivaithalai Police have registered a case and initiated a search for the perpetrators.
