Bantwal: A group of people in Panemangaluru on Thursday rescued a man who tried to commit suicide by jumping from new Nethravathi bridge here. The man was reportedly depressed over some family issue.
A resident of Soorikumeru in the Taluk, Prakash was walking near the Nethravathi bridge suspiciously at 1.am. Noticing his movement, group of youngsters led by Illyas spoke to him and enquired why he was roaming there.
Prakash, spoke about his family’s issues and added that he was planning to jump off the bridge and commit suicide.
The group of youngsters consoled Prakash and convinced him that all the problems comes with solutions and assured him of lending support of solving his family issues. The youngsters then brought the incident to the notice of local police and dropped Prakash back to his home.

New Delhi (PTI): At least 10 flights were cancelled and more than 270 flights were delayed at the Delhi airport due to fog and low visibility conditions on Tuesday.
An official said 6 arrivals and 4 departures have been cancelled for the day.

Over 270 flights have been delayed and the average delay time for departures is 29 minutes, as per information available on flight tracking website Flightradar24.com.
"Visibility at the airport is improving; however, flight departures for certain destinations may experience delay," Delhi airport operator DIAL said in a post on X.
The Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) in the national capital handles around 1,300 flight movements daily.
